The Publication Built for the Journey.
Parenting is the most rewarding challenge of a lifetime. Good parenting guidance exists. But it’s scattered, contradictory, and too often buried under noise. Parenting101 was created to change that. We’re here to make it a little less overwhelming.
Who we are
Parenting is the most consequential work most people will ever do. We take it seriously.
There are timeless principles that help children grow into confident, conscientious adults. We built a publication around advice on Marriage, Family, and Parenting grounded in experience and common sense.
Parenting is a journey, one that requires patience, dedication, and a commitment to the long-term success of our children. By focusing on effective parental leadership, love and discipline, character development, communication, consistency, and independence, parents can raise children who grow into responsible, compassionate, and capable adults.
While parenting can be challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding. The effort we put into raising our children today will pay off in the form of responsible, conscientious adults who will make a positive impact on the world. By following these principles, parents can lay the foundation for a lifetime of success for their children, one that is built on character, integrity, and the desire to serve others.
Our Mission
Our Parenting Philosophy
We believe the efforts we invest in raising our children today will pay off in the form of responsible, contributing adults. People with character, integrity, and the desire to serve others.
Our Vision & Core Principles
The Principles Behind Every Story We Publish
Parenting101 is supported by individuals and organizations who believe that strong families are worth investing in.
With a vision set on timeless principles and practices, parents can raise children who grow into confident, capable, and conscientious adults — ready to contribute positively to the world around them. Every article, guide, and resource on Parenting101 is shaped by a core set of beliefs about what great parenting looks like in practice.
Effective Parental Leadership
Children thrive when parents lead with both authority and empathy. We believe in guiding, not simply managing, and in helping parents understand the difference.
Love and Discipline, Together
Love without structure leaves children adrift. Structure without warmth leaves them closed off. The content on Parenting101 holds both, because the best parenting always does.
Character Development
We measure parenting success not in grades or milestones, but in the kind of people our children are becoming. Integrity, resilience, empathy, and responsibility are values that can be intentionally cultivated and we are here to help you do that.
Communication
The conversations we have with our children and the ones we make space for them to start help shape everything. Parenting101 covers communication at every age, because the stakes change but the importance never does.
Consistency
Children need to know what to expect from the adults in their lives. Consistency is the steady, trustworthy presence that lets children take risks, make mistakes, and still feel safe.
Independence
Our goal as parents is, ultimately, to make ourselves unnecessary. Every stage of childhood is an opportunity to give children a little more autonomy. Parenting101 helps you calibrate how much, and when.
Our Editorial Standards
Built on Trust. Held to a Standard.
Parenting advice is a domain where accuracy genuinely matters. A poorly sourced article can send a worried parent in the wrong direction at a vulnerable moment. We take that responsibility seriously, which is why every piece of content on Parenting101 is held to a consistent editorial standard.
Source Transparency
We cite our sources. If a claim is backed by research, we link to it. If the evidence is contested or evolving, we say so.
No Sponsored Editorial
Advertising and editorial are kept separate. Brands do not pay for coverage, and no article is written to promote a product.
Corrections Policy
When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted directly in the article.
Voice and Tone
We do not preach. We do not alarm. We present evidence, share perspectives, and trust parents to make their own informed decisions.
The People Behind Parenting101
Parenting101 is built by people who care about this — because we are parents ourselves, because we have seen the difference good guidance makes, and because we believe the world goes better when children are raised well. Here is who is behind the publication you are reading.
The Founders

Steve Rebello
Built Parenting101 from a deep conviction that parents deserve better than generic, trend-driven advice. A former technology entrepreneur and father of three, Steve brings both editorial rigour and lived experience to every decision about the site’s direction and voice. He writes on family culture, leadership, and the long view of parenthood.

Theresa Rebello
A developmental psychologist with 18 years in clinical practice, Theresa brings research rigour to every editorial decision. She reviews all articles for factual accuracy, developmental appropriateness, and alignment with evidence-based practice — ensuring Parenting101 never prioritises readability at the cost of reliability. She is the author of three books on childhood development.

What We Are Really Building Here
Parenting is challenging. Some days are harder than anyone admits out loud. But the effort we invest in our children — the patience we practise, the boundaries we hold, the conversations we have, the character we try to model — compounds over time in ways we often cannot see in the moment.
The children being raised today will shape the world their own children will live in. That is not a small thing. It is the most consequential work most of us will ever do.
Parenting101 exists to support that work — with honest guidance, evidence-based content, and the steady reminder that what you are doing matters. You do not have to get it perfect. You just have to keep showing up.
We are glad you are here.

The People and Organisations Who Make This Possible
Parenting101 is supported by individuals and organizations who believe that strong families are worth investing in.
Parenting101 is proudly independent — which means we answer to our readers, not to advertisers or corporate interests. That independence is only possible because of the generosity of the individuals and organisations who believe in what we are building. Our supporters share a conviction that resonates at the heart of this publication: that investing in parents is one of the highest-leverage things a community can do.
We are grateful for every person and partner who has made this work possible. Their support allows us to keep our editorial content free from commercial pressure, our expert contributors properly compensated, and our tools and resources accessible to every parent who needs them.
Supporter recognition does not influence editorial decisions. Parenting101 maintains full independence over all content.
